House Portraits

A portrait of your house makes a treasured and enduring record of your home. I have been painting house portraits for 20 years, from the grand Surrey country house to the more modest semi detached cottage. I try to bring together my skills and experience in the discipline of perspective and illustration with the freer and painterly approach of the artist to produce a well executed, architecturally accurate portrayal of house and home.

I start with a site visit and use my camera and sketchbook to capture and record detail, then spend some time putting together a collection of images from which to paint the finished work in my studio. I will produce a work to suit the size required by the client, give advice on framing and deliver either framed or unframed to a deadline negotiated at the start of the job.

My prices for a complete framed portrait are from £500, depending on size.
